The Northeast Florida Vegetarian Society is a growing community of vegetarians, vegans, and anyone on the path of exploring or committing to eating plant-based — no matter the motivation.
We promote veganism for a healthy body, spirit, environment, and as the only compassionate choice that alleviates animal suffering.
NFVS coordinates at least two monthly potlucks or dinners at local and regional restaurants. These are tasty opportunities to meet, mingle, and learn about the benefits of a vegan lifestyle.
We also host events and participate in community outreach and education. Some of our activities include:
- Guest speakers on animal, health, and veg-related topics, including Dr. Will Tuttle’s book, The World Peace Diet discussion
- Jacksonville’s Earth Day Ecology Fair
- Northeast Florida Veg Fest
- Riverside Arts Market tabling
